Technical Operations Engineer (m/f/d)

The company we work for successfully develops software for the entertainment and event industry. One of the products was even used at the 2024 Olympic Games. Although it has become the subsidiary of a big group, the entrepreneurial spirit is still alive. We are currently looking for an Technical Operations Engineer (m/f/d) to expand their versatile and friendly team.

Your tasks:

  • Administration and further development of the Windows Server environment, including IIS and Microsoft SQL Server
  • Planning and execution of deployments, as well as maintenance of environment configurations
  • Automation of recurring operational tasks using PowerShell
  • Building and continuously improving monitoring, alerting, and observability
  • Analysis of log files, operational metrics, and error patterns, as well as incident handling
  • Contributing to the transition from the current Windows-based environment towards a containerized platform
  • Establishing your own operational standards and runbooks, with the freedom to shape processes and best practices

Your profile:

  • Several years of hands-on experience in DevOps, system administration, or technical operations
  • Strong expertise in the administration of Microsoft Windows Server environments
  • Good knowledge of IIS, Microsoft SQL Server, and PowerShell
  • Experience with monitoring, alerting, and log analysis
  • Knowledge of server security, certificates, and TLS
  • Ideally, experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, or Azure DevOps
  • Interest in container technologies – prior experience is a plus, but a strong willingness to learn and move in this direction is sufficient
  • Good command of German and English
