Engineering Manager (m/f/d)

The company we work for successfully develops software for the entertainment and event industry. One of the products was even used at the 2024 Olympic Games. Although it has become the subsidiary of a big group, the entrepreneurial spirit is still alive. We are currently looking for an Engineering Manager (m/f/d) to expand their versatile and friendly team.

Your tasks:

  • Overall responsibility for one of the company’s core software products – from a functional, technical, and commercial perspective
  • Technical and disciplinary leadership of the development team, which is currently being built and will continue to grow
  • Shaping the product roadmap: setting priorities, defining development milestones, and taking ownership of results
  • Building and establishing structures, standards, and ways of working for the new development team – with significant freedom to shape them from the ground up
  • Driving architectural decisions and representing technical concepts within the wider corporate environment
  • Further developing the integration and data landscape around the data warehouse, analytics, and AI-powered insights
  • Budget responsibility for both the product and the team
  • Close collaboration with the management team, Product Management, and key stakeholders across the Group

Your profile:

  • Several years of hands-on experience in software development – a strong technical background is essential
  • Experience in leading a development team, ideally in a team-building or growth environment
  • Strong understanding of software architecture for complex, highly interconnected system landscapes
  • Confidence working in enterprise environments with extensive integration and API landscapes
  • Enjoyment of making decisions and confidently representing them at management level
  • Exposure to data warehouses, analytics, or AI-powered insights is an advantage
  • Knowledge of C#/.NET is a plus
  • Excellent English; German skills are an advantage

A start up atmosphere and flat hierarchies in a dedicated and fun loving team are typical for this company, which we can highly recommend as an employer. Added value: Remote work is possible for several days per week.
