C# Backend Developer (m/f/d)

The company we work for successfully develops software for the entertainment and event industry. One of the products was even used at the 2024 Olympic Games. Although it has become the subsidiary of a big group, the entrepreneurial spirit is still alive. We are currently looking for a C# Backend Developer (m/f/d) to expand their versatile and friendly team.

Your tasks:

  • Further development and modernization of an established C#/.NET system
  • Seamless integration of new features into the existing system landscape while maintaining backward compatibility
  • Supporting migrations and proactively identifying common challenges and potential pitfalls
  • Considering dependencies and the impact of changes on adjacent systems
  • Collaborating with the team to develop robust and sustainable long-term solutions
  • Challenging, justifying, and clearly communicating technical decisions
  • Taking ownership of the quality of your own solutions

Your profile:

  • Strong hands-on experience in C#/.NET development, ideally within mature and evolving software systems
  • Solid knowledge of databases and SQL, with a good understanding of data structures and their impact on application design
  • Experience with TDD, performance optimization, and writing clean, maintainable, and well-structured code
  • A genuine curiosity to understand how systems work, why they have evolved the way they have, and where their inherent risks and constraints lie – mindset matters more to us than expertise in any single technology
  • A holistic approach to software engineering, thinking beyond individual classes, features, or tickets and considering the system as a whole
  • Confidence in constructively challenging requirements, assumptions, and existing technical approaches
  • Enthusiasm for modern AI-assisted development tools, combined with the ability to critically evaluate their output and take full ownership of generated code
  • A strong sense of when a problem calls for better architecture or clearer requirements rather than simply more code
  • Very good command of either German or English

A start up atmosphere and flat hierarchies in a dedicated and fun loving team are typical for this company, which we can highly recommend as an employer. Added value: Remote work is possible for several days per week.
